Raincry is a producer of luxury hair care products, and recently it launched a new sub-line, the Raincry Repair Collection, which features products infused with CBD. Three products are offered, a shampoo and conditioner (both in 8 oz tubes) and a leave-in treatment (in a 5.1 oz tube). All cost between $33 and $40, depending on the merchant; they’re widely available online.
CBD aside, they’re solid products, especially the standard conditioner, which left my hair smooth and silky for a couple of days after use. My wife was especially fond of the leave-in treatment, which she thought was on par with some of the best hair care products on the market. All products are easy to dispense, though it’s also a bit too easy to end up with too much shampoo, which is on the liquid side.
The benefit of CBD on hair is, to be sure, unproven, and after several weeks of using the shampoo and conditioner I haven’t noticed any long-term difference in my hair or scalp health. That said, I have very short hair, so those with longer tresses may be better positioned to suss out benefits.
$33 for a bottle of shampoo is pricey, but when compared to edible CBD products, it’s surprisingly competitive. That said: I do not recommend ingesting this stuff.
