As mentioned in our prior review of Just CBD’s edibles, the company is heavily involved with other delivery systems, including at least three different topicals. Today we look at three different versions of Just CBD’s pain relief products.
Just CBD Relief Cream is the most traditional, a loose lotion-like cream that offers 500mg of CBD in a 4 oz jar. Made with menthol, camphor, and wintergreen oil, it’s pungent on the nose but not overly so — and it’s easy to scoop out of the jar and spread around since it has the consistency of any standard hand or body lotion. That said, it can get messy, so be careful when working with the product.
Just CBD Heat Relief is an interesting product, packaged in small cylinder with a roll-on head like your old Mitchum deodorant. While the roll-on (350mg CBD in a 3 oz package) also has menthol, camphor, and a ton of extra herbal ingredients, the heat comes from capsicum, hot chili peppers which are used to dull the sensation of pain. I found the heating impact to be very mild in comparison to a typical (non-CBD) capsicum/capsaicin product, though.
Finally there’s Just CBD Ultra Relief Gel, a pump-action lotion/gel with a whopping 1000mg of CBD in a 4 oz dispenser. There’s plenty of aromatic menthol and camphor in this one — and a bright green color that you’ll want to avoid getting on your clothes. The menthol (5% in the mix) is hefty, and this actually has a stronger warming influence than the Heat Relief product. My favorite by quite a bit, it really does do a number on sore muscles and joints, and provides strong (albeit temporary) relief to issues like tennis elbow. While all three are capable products, this is definitely the one to consider first.
As with Just CBD’s edibles, its topicals are all also excellently priced — so you really can’t go wrong with any of the trio.
