Previously we reviewed 1906 Drops — a tablet-based delivery of 5mg each THC and CBD. Now we turn to 1906’s sister product, a dark chocolate edible with the same proportions and the same additional ingredient: Corydalis rhizome, a Chinese herb which is intended to promote relaxation. (Actual lab report on the sample I reviewed offered 4.86mg THC and 5.08mg CBD.)
As with the 1906 Drops, I ate a Midnight before bedtime — the flavor was rich and silky, with only the slightest flavor of terpenes evident. As with the Drops, in 45 minutes I was once again out like a light. My dreams were intense and perverse, and I definitely had the feeling I was melting into my mattress. Waking the next morning was tough but not as bad as I’d experienced with the 1906 Drops. Still, I wish I’d taken the sleep aid on a weekend instead of a night when work called the next morning.
As with most edibles, 1906’s chocolate version isn’t cheap, and tweaking the dosage can be difficult if a full chocolate is too much. That said, in my case, the edible seems to have done the job it promised slightly better than it did in a tablet format.
