Ready for more CBD waters? Quatreau is entering the U.S. after a stint in Canada, with celebrity astrologist Susan Miller on board for the occasion. The beverage is available in four flavors, all of which include 20mg of hemp-based CBD, zero sugar, and natural flavors.
The flavor is quite mild in each, which is to say the terpene character is rather pronounced. The Blueberry + Acai flavor evokes just a hint of blueberry, with a rather bitter edge that gives the finish quite a bit of bite. Passion Fruit + Guava has a more present sweetness that better hides the terpene notes. I didn’t care much for the Cucumber + Mint variety, which had a nice, minty aroma but which comes across as rather muddy on the palate. The most straightforward expression is the Ginger + Lime variety, though neither element comes across with much aggression.
Altogether, each of the Quatreau expressions is so gentle that it’s hard to figure out where even 25 calories come from. I wouldn’t choose any of them to add to my everyday CBD arsenal, but a couple are fair enough for one-off enjoyment.
