Mad Tasty makes a hemp-infused sparkling water — and now it adds a pair of “wellness boosts” to the mix. These are familiar 2 ounce vials designed to be consumed all at once, after which you will presumably be “well.” Each 2 ounce vial is absolutely loaded with hemp extract, providing a 50mg slug in a single go.
Let’s try both flavors.
Mad Tasty Wellness Boost Citrus Elderberry – Kind of a milky gray color, not overly appealing. Lots of elderberry on the tongue, followed by an intense terpene note, ample bitterness, and a chalky body. The bitterness endures well beyond the fading of the sweeter/floral elderberry note, though at least it offers a pleasant aroma. Hold your nose and choke it down and perhaps the benefits of the mega-hemp dosage will outweigh the aftertaste. Rating: 5/10
Mad Tasty Wellness Boost Mango Ginger – Despite the wildly different construction, this has a similar character to it — lightly fruity (with a gingery kick) up top, then a heavy, terpene-laden bitterness underneath. The mango notes help brighten up the finish at least, elevating it just a touch over the more overbearing Citrus Elderberry expression, though there’s still plenty of bitter pepper that clings to the back of the throat.
